Who We Are

Engineering Australia's energy transition

Design, engineering and construction of transmission, substations, BESS, wind and solar — delivered safely and at scale across Australia and New Zealand.

Our Purpose

A local EPC partner, backed by global scale

Elecnor Australia delivers the critical infrastructure powering Australia's transition to net zero. From Project EnergyConnect — the country's largest interconnector — to utility-scale solar, wind and grid-supporting battery storage, we partner with network operators, retailers and developers to design, build and energise complex energy projects.

We are part of Elecnor Group, a global EPC leader with 60 years of continuous growth across more than 50 countries. That gives our local teams the engineering depth, financial strength and project-delivery track record that infrastructure clients require — combined with the regional workforce, supply chains and stakeholder relationships that only come from being on the ground.

What Sets Us Apart

Three commitments behind every project we deliver

Grid-scale expertise

End-to-end capability across high-voltage transmission and substations, integrating renewables and storage with minimal outage windows.

Safety & certainty

Proven HSE systems, program certainty and commercial transparency — so complex projects stay predictable from design to energisation.

Delivery partnerships

Collaborative delivery with utilities, developers and OEMs, supported by local supply chains and regional workforces.

Key Figures

Local delivery. Global scale.

Our Vision

From the easement to the city, building what the grid will need next

Transmission line construction

Building essential infrastructure

From remote outback alignments to metropolitan brownfields, our teams deliver constructability-led designs and safe execution. We integrate digital QA, reality capture and commissioning records so network operators have full asset provenance.

Solar plant construction

Renewables at utility scale

We partner with developers and IPPs to connect wind, solar and battery plants to the grid — managing quality, schedule interfaces and energisation risks across complex multi-contract environments.

Our History

A decade of delivery in Australia & New Zealand

From foundational transmission and renewables connections to flagship EPC delivery on Australia's largest interconnector and grid-supporting storage.

2014 — 2018 · Foundations

Establishing local presence

Elecnor Australia is established in 2014. Early delivery on transmission and renewables interconnections across Australia and New Zealand sets the foundation for long-term EPC capability.

2019 — 2022 · Expansion

Scaling EPC delivery

Scaled capabilities across substations, long-span lines and early grid-forming storage pilots. Awarded the EPC contract for the 700 km southern section of Project EnergyConnect.

2023 — Today · Energy transition

Delivering at scale

Active delivery on transmission, BESS, wind and solar portfolios across NSW, VIC, SA, QLD and New Zealand — strengthening the grid to unlock renewable energy zones and firming.
